Prevent the expensive maintenance caused by tree roots

Each homeowner is responsible for maintaining the pipe that connects the house to the main sewer pipe and damage to this by tree roots can be costly. The best way to prevent this is to schedule regular cleaning of your sewer system which is carried out using augers, root saws, and high pressure water jetting.

Are tree roots really a problem?

Tree roots can cause an extensive amount of damage to sewer pipes. Pipes contain water, nutrients and oxygen and if there’s a crack or displaced joint the vapour released will attract the roots to grow near and inside it. Once inside, the roots continue to grow and will eventually fill the pipe with hair-like root masses.
